Bluetooth Driver Installer is a small freeware utility to install the generic Microsoft driver for your bluetooth adapter.
The program is based on a widely known method of patching known as %WinDir%\inf\bth.inf file. Bluetooth Driver Installer works for most (but not all) bluetooth adapters, both USB dongles and built-in devices. You can find a list of bluetooth devices and hardware IDs that are known to work here, although this list is not exhaustive.
Note that before making changes to your system, Bluetooth Driver Installer automatically creates a restore point so that if anything goes wrong, you can use the Windows System Restore feature to revert all changes made to your computer.
